Hallway Conversation is directly connected to the hallway where it is exhibited, both formally and thematically. This location serves as a metaphor for a place of waiting, a space out of the mainstream, and a setting for dialogue. The work adresses themes of being strangers and others in society.
The installation consists of two multi-channel video/sound pieces that engage in a 'conversation' with each other. The project features 13 independent film sets, each played once every 10 minutes, with scenes lasting between 2 to 10 minutes. Most scenes are theatrically performed by Chaganava and Park, while some incorporate found footage that deals with political themes.
